The CAPE is historic in many respects. The history of the vessel is
well documented in both military service, and with the present owner
in private ownership for the past 21 years. The vessel is
predominantly original in the configuration and propulsion. The Navy
spent money overhauling the main engines, and numerous refurbishments
just prior to decommissioning. After sitting idle for a few years,
this owner has updated some of the comforts and utility features, but
without changing the character of the ship. CAPE has recently been
visited and inspected by her former Navy Captain, and many of her
crew. This was both in Olympia, and for a second reunion where CAPE
was run to Long Beach California to participate in a second crew
reunion. The perfect vessel for the person that always wanted a
minesweeper, or it could be an attractive draw for operations for
eco-tours, kayak or diving expeditions. Coast Guard Documentation
Operational Endorsements for Recreation, Fishery, Registry &
Coastwise. Used under contract for research by the Johns Hopkins
University in the '70's shortly after her first decommissioning by the
navy, she was put back into service by the navy in December of 1984.
With a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles,
CAPE has been; "KEEPING THE SALISH SEA MINE FREE SINCE 1993"
MISOGI is impressive in its stature and condition. The 54' length and
18'6" beam are the perimeters of a small ship, rather than a
boat. The scantlings are suited to an ocean going vessel, for which
Arthur DeFever was known. An ideal extended expedition cruiser, or
live-aboard vessel, she is suited to live outside, still staying warm
and dry in the coldest winters. Shown by appointment only.

maintenance existing now in the area of the aft deck. This can and
will be addressed in some fashion upon sale. In all other respects,

The McQueen Yard, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada had a long
and prosperous relationship with one of the Northwest's most prolific
naval architects. Ed Monk, Sr. The raised pilothouse design was an
inspiration that developed in the 1950's and has endured in designs
through the decades since. This is one example of the genuine design
concept with maximized floorplan along with a low profile and
relationship to the water. The soft chine and flared bow contribute to
excellent seakeeping characteristics, in a proven hull. Shown in
covered freshwater moorage in Lake Union, she is in exceptional
condition in possession of the current owner for 20 years, and the
third since new. Shown by appointment only.
The ENTERPRISE (ex PEGGY-O) was designed and built for the United
States Coastt Guard by Douglas-McNeil in St. Helens Oregon in 1929.
The large wheelhouse salon has excellent headroom for a vessel of this
vintage. Forward below is a galley & dinette with a storage in the
forepeak formerly a head and later a shower. Going aft from the
galley, the engine room is accessed thru a full height door to a stand
u engine room. The engine room can be exited thru the aft end into a
tank room, then out a third door to the aft stateroom. This stateroom
has a berth and enclosed head. Up and out the aft companionway to the
aft deck of this canoe sterned classic. With the plumb bow and double
ended design this is a classic of distinction.

The Art Nordvedt designs were spacious and roomy without compromising
performance. Built rugged and finished by hand with beautiful teak
interiors, these vessels are among the true modern classics built in
the northwest. Their downfall, osmotic blistering was an accumulation
of factors. Some better, some worse, this vessel has some, but nothing
considered structural and priced accordingly. This vessel was
boathoused in the Olympia Yacht Club until 1997 by the original owner.
Now the second owner has upgraded many aspects, and kept the
maintainance in cruise ready condition. Shown by Appointment Only.

condition. The exterior varnished finishes are in very good condition
with the cabin top coverings in excellent shape after a meticulous
professional restoration. The interior is very original to the period,
and has the feel of the boat Chris-Craft built, and survived the era
of "makeovers' changing the character. This is a vessel for the

known for building high quality Art Nordvet designs proven as superior
sea boats. The use of space is appreciated in the spacious layouts.
The quality craftsmanship and attention to detail is evident in the
teak interiors. The demise of this legendary northwest company was the
result of the military contracts for the production of
"Pibbers" that led to the use of fire retardant
petrochemical products not designed for longevity, but for a war zone.
This is an example of a "pre-blister" veasael where the gel

background of a former Coast Guardsman where everything is in good
order and kept that way. Shown by appointment only.
